The building’s axis rotates like clockwork, removed from its stable footing before. If “Medium is the Message” (Marshal McLuhan), then the architecture tells the reflection of a society defined by transience and precarity. The architecture becomes obscured and fragmented, leaving the physical realm into presumably a more virtual alternative. The old architecture loses its function but not its spirit. It maintains as the reference image, framing the new architecture and giving substance to what is an ultimately hollow present.
